On Thursday August 10, the Library unveiled its first outdoor Early  Learning Centre at Forest Lawn Library. This new space will help kids learn and develop foundational skills through skills through play. The Forest Lawn Nature Playground was made possible with the support of the Canada 150 Community Infrastructure Program and Friends of the Library--including a group of local children from the Play N' Learn Childcare Centre who came out to help celebrate the opening! Since learning happens everywhere, the playground is fully-accessible and includes large-scale letters that children can play in, under and around, and moveable elements that support creative play and exploration.
