Tell us about your business and how you got started. My business is just beginning. I have been loving the freedom of freelance. Working closely with clients on their unique projects has allowed for a lot more creativity and collaboration.

What makes your products special? I like creating concepts, making connections, and thinking each element through. It gives the details so much meaning. I also love to incorporate humour when applicable.

Which project or piece of your art are you most proud of? My favourite piece is a stop motion animation I did for a TV Series Intro. The show was called Pushing Daisies, and the clip can be seen on my website. I enjoyed this project because I was illustrating a concept/story with very simple elements. I used cut paper for the footage, and then polished it up in After Effects. It was a great medium to manipulate for a stop motion, and I'm very pleased with how the intro turned out.

Where can people find more of your work? On my website: simplycmp.com

What is your fondest memory of the library? My fondest memory of the library is how there was no limit to the number of books you could take out. We used to lug in a sac of books, slide them down the return slot (another fond memory), peruse for hours, and leave with another good haul.

What is your favourite book? My favourite book is Garbage Delight - an old Canadian children's book filled with hillarious poems.
