In the Footsteps of Giants is Chinook Country Historical Society's first children's book project about Calgary's early history, from prehistoric times when dinosaurs roamed western Canada to about 1930.
In the Footsteps of Giants, Volume 2, is a companion book where fictional heroes Sarah and Harry continue to experience Calgary and area today while learning more about the people and events of the past.
The books are designed for children eight to twelve years of age. At the end of each chapter are activity and reading suggestions that offer an opportunity to further explore the history of our community.
